(Bloomberg) -- Asian stocks may drop after this year’s first “sell” signal from the Tactical Sentiment Indicator, a gauge used by BofA Merrill Lynch Global Research. The investment tool tracks fund flows, market breadth, valuations, credit spreads, relative strength indexes and the put/call volume ratio, BofA strategists led by Sadiq Currimbhoy said in a report Nov. 13. Share prices fell more than 10 percent in eight weeks after the indicator last signaled that Asia was “overbought” in January 2008, they said.
