(Bloomberg) -- The MSCI World Index may climb to a high for the year next week as the gauge is trading above its medium- and short-term moving averages, according to analysts at Credit Suisse Group AG who use price charts to forecast moves. The MSCI World has rallied 28 percent in 2009 and closed at 1,175.40 on Nov. 16, the highest level this year, as governments and central banks worldwide spent about $12 trillion and cut interest rates to record lows to revive the global economy. The measure “is likely to rise to a new high by next week,” technical analysts at the bank, including Zurich-based Rolf Bertschi, wrote in a report today. The medium-term uptrend “is still in force,” they said.
