Indeks berpeluang menguat lebih lanjut pada hari ini berkat sentimen positif dari inflow yang masih dominan (kendati investor asing membukukan net selling sebesar Rp 279 miliar jumat lalu) dari ekspektasi soldinya fundamental ekonomi dan emiten di 2010, perkiraan inflasi Indonesia bulan Agustus tidak akan merubah suku bunga BI pada pertemuan bulan September dan kinerja indeks saham global yang didorong oleh kenaikan saham Wall Street setelah Chairman Fed Bernanke menyatakan siap untuk mengambil langkah yang diperlukan untuk mencegah ekonomi kembali kepada keterperukan dan GDP Q2 AS tercatat lebih baik dari prediksi (1.6% dibandingkan prediksi 1.4%), diikuti sentimen dari spekulasi bank sentral Jepang akan melakukan aksi intevernsi yen Jepang di pasar dalam sebuah pertemuan darurat pada hari ini. Meningkatnya rencana penawaran saham perdana (IPO) dari sejumlah perusahaan di Indonesia di akhir tahun ini, dapat meningkatkan daya tarik untuk investasi di pasar modal, terutama di tengah penguatan rupiah terhadap dolar dan tingginya yield dari suku bunga Indonesia yang mendorong investor asing melakukan carry trades Rupiah terhadap dollar AS.
