(Bloomberg) -- China’s benchmark Shanghai Composite Index may climb above 4,000 next year, according to a majority of fund managers surveyed by the Securities Times newspaper and China Merchants Bank Co. More than 70 percent of portfolio managers surveyed by the Shenzhen-based newspaper forecast the Shanghai index may top 4,000 in 2010, according to a report on its Web site today. The Shanghai index, which has rallied 81 percent this year, closed at 3,302.90 yesterday.
