JAKARTA (Dow Jones)--Foreign and domestic companies spent IDR62.0 trillion ($7.3 billion) on projects in Indonesia during the second quarter of 2011, rising 22.1% from the same period a year earlier, a government official said Thursday. The official told Dow Jones Newswires that foreign direct investment

spending alone rose 21.1% to IDR43.1 trillion during the period. The figures show that growth in Southeast Asia's largest economy is becoming broad based, and is not just underpinned by household consumption, analysts said. Investment during the January-March period totaled IDR53.6 trillion, an increase of 27.3% on year, with foreign investors spending IDR39.5 trillion and local companies IDR14.21 trillion, government data released earlier

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--PT Bank Danamon (BDMN.JK) is seeking to raise about IDR5 trillion (US$585 million) from its recently announced rights issue, a person familiar with the deal said Wednesday. The bank, which is 67.4%-owned by Asia Financial (Indonesia) Pte. Ltd., said last week it plans to hold an extraordinary shareholders meeting Aug. 22 to seek approval for a rights issue, but didn't specify the amount.The person said an announcement about the details of the issue is due later this month. PT Danamon said last week it appointed Citigroup and Deutsche Bank as standby buyers and Danareksa Sekuritas as the arranger of the issuance.

Street News - Rumors of tender offer give positif impact of SPMA share price. Shangton Ltd.. and UBS Singapore will reportedly increase the portion of its stake in the SPMA through a tender offer at a indication price of Rp 600. Based on financial data late last year, SPMA net profit growing 10% over the same period last year. Sales this year are projected to grow approximately 14-20%. The first quarter of 2011, the company has recorded net sales of Rp 392 billion, up 3% from the same period last year. The rise in net sales primarily due to rising average prices of raw materials of pulp and paper products. Moreover, in this year's SPMA will build the installation of new paper-making machine for the anticipated increase in demand for construction production and production waste handling ins

PT Delta Dunia Makmur Tbk (DOID) is indicated to post a weak earning in the second quarter of this year (2Q2011), mainly due to margin compression driven by a jump in depreciation cost, spare part-maintenance cost, and accounting changes in salary and bonus payment from cash basis into accrual basis. "In addition, there would be one-off refinancing cost of US$16 million-US$17 million," said a morning notes issued by PT Mandiri Sekuritas today. Overall, it potentially reduces Mandiri Sekuritas's FY11 forecast operating margin by 2%-3% or equivalent to Rp130 billion-Rp200 billion earning, compared to the brokerage's previous FY11F net profit forecast of Rp454 billion. Delta Dunia, parent of Indonesia's second largest coal mining contractor, is budgeting US$250 million capex with potential upgrade to US$280 million if certain projects are awarded. The capex was higher than US$200 million of realized capex last year and US$75 million in 2009. On the operating side, overburden removal reached 155.7 million bank cubic meter in 1H11 or 43.3% of Mandiri Sekuritas's forecast. DOID is now guiding 350 million bcm overburden removal, or 2.7% lower than previous number of 360 million bcm. To achieve this target, the company needs to ramp up its overburden to 32 million-33 million bcm per month, versus 27 million-28 million bcm in May and June.

Stocks slipped in the final minutes of trading to end lower Wednesday as investors took a breather following a sharp rally in the previous session and amid ongoing jitters over the debt ceiling talks and fears over the euro zone crisis.
