Korean Stocks May Rise 20% in First Half, Mirae Says

(Bloomberg) -- South Korea’s Kospi index may rise as much as 20 percent in the first half as exporters benefit from recovering demand in developed nations, the country’s biggest seller of mutual funds said. A pick up in domestic consumer spending and corporate investments and “resilient” fund flows from foreign investors may also benefit equities, said Sean SY Hwang, head of Korea equity research at Mirae Asset Securities Co.
